I haven’t taught a children’s flower gardening workshop in a while. Silly me. And what better time to start up these delightful, interactive workshops than over April school break week in the Capital Region? Two workshop dates are available; Tuesday, April 10 and Wednesday, April 11. Both workshops run from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. I will be teaching these classes for, and at, Faddegon’s Nursery in Latham. These interactive classes are filled with lots of fun and educational experiences for children to discover the joy of growing beautiful flowers. Children will learn how to plant and care for flowers; what makes a healthy soil; gardening for butterflies and hummingbirds; flower colors and fragrances; good bugs, and more! Each child will plant and take home their own potted flower at the end of the class. The workshop fee is $15 per child. Children in grades first through sixth grade may participate. To register, please stop by Faddegon’s Nursery at 1140 Troy-Schenectady Road, in Latham. If you have questions, please call Faddegon’s at (518) 785-6726. Class size is limited. |
