I am a 'passionate perennialist' with over 18 years of hands-on experience.  As a garden consultant, designer, writer, teacher and lecturer, I specialize in low-maintenance garden design, incorporating perennials, ornamental grasses, flowering shrubs, bulbs, and no-fuss annuals.  

I can speak on over 20 different topics ranging from tips for a low-maintenance perennial garden; cottage gardening; shade gardening; garden maintenance and putting your gardens to bed for the winter; designing for a four-season garden; ornamental flowering shrubs; outrageous garden design using foliage plants; gardening with children; 93 super shortcuts to save time and simplify your work in the garden; and many other topics!   My presentations include colorful slide shows that complement the talk as well as helpful handouts.  For more than a decade now I have spoken for hundreds of groups ranging in size from 10 to 200+ people.  I encourage audience participation for a lively and interactive experience.  Presentations can vary in length from one hour to a full day symposium.
